Who Am I Becoming

An Art Therapy Retreat

For the soul living in the liminal space between who you’ve been and who you are becoming.

January 23-25, 2026

Miami, Florida

A healing journey for those navigating grief, transition, stuckness, or an inner call for more self-direction, inner authority, and self-compassion.

Spend three beautiful nights immersing yourself in therapeutic and creative workshops, yoga and meditation classes, time in nature, delicious vegan meals, and so much more…

What This Is

“Who Am I Becoming?” is a 3-night creative healing retreat for those navigating transitions, grief (both concrete and ambiguous), and the tender space between who they’ve been and who they’re becoming.

Through a mix of group work, expressive arts, art therapy, and transformational healing practices, this retreat offers a soft and nourishing container to reflect on your story, release what no longer serves you, and connect to the qualities of the self you’re growing into.

Who This Is For

You may be living in the liminal space between who you’ve been and who you are becoming.

You may be feeling the inner call to tend to what needs healing and to create more soul-led life direction, sweet inner authority, and self-compassion.

You are invited on this healing journey with us.

Through a safe, therapeutic space and the expression that art allows, we will navigate transition, grief, the feelings of being lost or stagnancy.

About the experience…

Let Your Creativity Flow

Our daily creative workshops will be your chance to play, create, and express your heart. Messy, honest, and imperfect art is always encouraged. All art materials will be provided. No prior experience necessary!

Delicious Vegan Meals

Healing begins with our food! I’m so grateful to have this retreat catered by our dear friend, Braja. She specializes in cooking delicious loved-filled meals for retreats and gatherings.

Quiet Meditative Mornings

Tapestry of the Heart is tucked away in the farmland outside of Miami. Enjoy walks amidst mango trees, bathing in the salt water pool, smores by the fireside, stargazing, sunshine and more in this beautiful setting. Time for reflection and journalling.

3 Nights Accommodation

Summer camp-style accommodations include shared rooms and private bathrooms in a beautiful home farm. Fully air-conditioned, with access to a sprawling kitchen and many living spaces.

Daily Meditation & Yoga

Start your day by nourishing your body and mind. Our co-facilitators (Sraddha and Rasa Sindhu) will host a guided yoga, mindful movement and meditation class each morning before breakfast. 🧘🏽‍♀️

Therapeutic Processes

Inner child and future self therapy exercises paired with deep reflection and being held in community will be facilitated by trained & licensed professionals to help you connect with who you are at your core, and to more fully live in who you want to be.

Rukmini and her team of generous retreat leaders set the tone for both introspection and remarkable community building and exchange.

Journaling, meditation, yoga, delicious meals, plenty of art supplies, dancing, bonfires, stargazing, as well as thoughtful accommodations, all make for an undeniable art-and life-affirming weekend.

What is art therapy?

Creative expression is an essential part of healing. It isn’t a luxury - it’s a necessity and allows us to share what is real, honest, and true.

To be held, witnessed and led through therapeutic processes which invoke/uncover a deeper and more genuine/true sense of self.

Peel back the layers.

Allow yourself to be seen.

Make something uniquely you.

Feeling is Healing

Grieve if you need to, release, and create anew.

Meet your hosts*

Hi! My name is Rukmini Poddar and I’m the author and artist of Draw Your Feelings.

I’ve been drawing my own emotions since 2016 and teaching others to do the same. I work with teachers, therapists, corporate teams, and more.

I’m passionate about community building and so I’m absolutely thrilled to offer this retreat. It’s been a dream of mine to create an experience where we can come together in-person and create honest, meaningful art together.

I can’t imagine a more beautiful setting to make art, find community, and connect to our hearts. I hope to see you and meet you at the retreat!

Our creative expression is an invitation for rebirth: to experience the world in a new way.

Delicious vegan meals catered three times a day

Delight in delicious health vegan meals, snacks, and a variety of beverages prepared with love and intention. All meals will be provided from dinner Friday evening through brunch on Monday, made by our chef, Braja.

She is a certified Ayurvedic chef and specializes in cooking for large groups and retreats. Not only is Braja a talented cook, but she’s been a dear friend of mine for over 10 years.

I’ve attended more than a dozen yoga and meditation retreats over the years, but never thought of attending a retreat focused on creativity until I stumbled upon Rukmini’s Creative Wilderness retreat in an online search…

It was the best possible mixture of a yoga/meditation, art therapy, and adult summer camp in a gorgeous setting (inside and out).

Rukmini’s team are not only very talented professionals, but also a cozy crew of her beloveds, including her husband and childhood friend. The food was definitely worth writing home about, almost every meal featured a different kind of cuisine and Sundari expertly met all our dietary restrictions with delicious creativity.

Travel Information

This retreat was a wonderful way to unplug from daily life and connect with others. Through the creative workshops, I had some real insights about my emotional state of mind, which was really helpful. When I returned, a friend of mine told me "You seem so much lighter than last week!" which was a great endorsement of how the weekend transformed me!

  • Absolutely! 💖 If you feel intimidated or even afraid of creating art..you are in the right place. This retreat will open you up and stretch the creative muscles you didn even know you had!

And if you are a veteran artist, this retreat is also for you. You may not learn specific painting and drawing techniques here. But you will be given an opportunity to draw and create what is REAL for you and draw meaningful connections out of your artwork.

  • Sadly, we can't allow pets. Children under 16 who are not participating in the retreat as students unfortunately can't join either.

  • Honestly, I’m the same way! But I find being in small, intentional gatherings of like-minded souls incredibly energizing. If you don’t mind shared accommodations, shared bathroom, and plenty of time connecting with people and making new friends - this may be a good stretch for you. However, you know yourself best. If this feels like too much for you, then trust that. You can always e-mail or set up a call with me to talk more about your needs.
